Let's act....and then pray some more!

Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary

As we continue to pray Our Fathers, let us pause to rejoice in the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to you.

Our Ranks Continue to Increase!

Have you noticed that the number of people that have "enlisted" to pray continues to increase?  Although we realize that many are praying along with us that have not "officially" signed up for the Prayer Army ... we continue to be inspired by the 19 people that are committed to pray 6650 Our Fathers for God's will to be done!  Thanks be to God!

p.s. - please let us know when you have hit a major milestone in your enlistment. We're guessing the army has said over 2500 prayers thus far, but we really don't know.

The Story of a 10 Year Old

Recently a 10 year old came running out of school and said "Mom, I said 26 Our Fathers during Social Studies today!"  I wonder if this is something this blog should be encouraging?  :)

The Power of Prayer

This reform involves so many moral issues. Not only abortion, but health care rationing for seniors, broad conscience protections for health care workers, assisted suicide counseling, are costs being restrained and equitably spread across the spectrum of payers, and at what point is the government intruding too far into its peoples' lives.

The Catholic Bishops have been working for years for health care reform that includes the life and dignity of all, but as Bishop Nickless says, "no health care reform is better than the wrong sort of health care reform."

Let us all pray that the Holy Spirit and prudence will guide our leaders in this crucial debate and vote for health care reform!

Please Pray!

The Senate passed the procedural motion on Saturday 11/21 to begin debate. Please keep praying the final bill removes the public funding of abortion, protects conscience rights, ensures affordable coverage, and allows immigrants to purchase private health insurance.

We had our first tour of duty fulfilled!

The first Private to enlist in the Army has fulfilled his tour of duty!  We've talked to him about the perks of re-enlistment and he's on board for a second tour. Keep on Praying!

The Senate has put the public abortion plan back in.

It appears our Senators are including public funding of abortion in their plan. Please pray, contact your Senators, and talk to your friends and family about this.

Links from this Blog

Although we have posted a few links to other sites on the side bar, our intent is not to be a primary source for news on the health care reform. We will leave that task to others.  Our objective is prayer among US Citizens to OUR Father.

We are practicing Catholics in Denver, so we have lazily included links from mainstream Catholic publications in Denver. If you have other links that you believe are important, by all means, please let us know.
